Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 2026

The short version: SnapCopy collects absolutely no personal data. Everything happens on your device. Nothing is transmitted anywhere.

What we collect

Nothing. SnapCopy does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. There are no analytics, no crash reporting, no usage tracking, and no account system.

Screen capture & OCR processing

When you use SnapCopy to capture a region of your screen, the following happens entirely on your device:

The captured image and any recognised text are processed in memory only. They are never saved to disk, never transmitted to any server, and never shared with any third party.

Permissions we request

SnapCopy requires two system permissions to function:

Both permissions are explained during onboarding. You can revoke them at any time in System Settings → Privacy & Security.

Third-party services

SnapCopy uses no third-party SDKs, frameworks, or services. There are no advertising networks, analytics services, or cloud providers involved.

Data retention

Since we collect no data, there is nothing to retain or delete. Your screen captures exist only as transient memory during the moment of processing.

Children's privacy

SnapCopy does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. As we collect no data from any user, there is nothing to distinguish.

Changes to this policy

If we ever change this policy in a meaningful way, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Given that we collect nothing, we expect this policy to remain as-is.
